Yamaha CSP-150 Clavinova Tablet Controlled Smart Piano
Music lovers who have always wanted to learn to play the piano can now fulfill, what for many, is a lifelong dream. The Clavinova CSP-150 teaches anyone how to play their favorite songs, right out of the music library already in their smart device. Stream Lights, exclusive to the CSP, move towards each key to show users which notes to play and when to play them. Based on their skill level, users can adjust the speed at which they’re learning, as well as the difficulty of the piano arrangement as they improve. Plus, the score display of the Smart Pianist App really helps users connect the dots between the Stream Lights above the keys and the notes on the page of their smart device. While technically a modern device, the Clavinova CSP-150 has a traditional piano appearance with few hints of the technology within. This of course changes when the user sits down with an iPad to access the many features of the CSP. The Graded Hammer keyboard action (GH3X) with escapement provides the piano feel that one expects from a company like Yamaha, makers of fine acoustic instruments for over a century.
Key Features
- Audio to Score scans your music library in your smart device, analyzes the audio, and then produces a piano score, allowing you to learn how to play your favorite songs.
- Stream Lights show you which notes to play and when to play them, with four LED lights above each key. Lights move towards the keys to show the timing of the next note in the song.
- Tablet-based interface keeps the elegant, traditional look of a classic piano. All of the internal features are accessed via the touch screen of the user’s own iPad.
- Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial piano samples bring two of the world's finest and most prominent concert grand pianos to your fingertips.
- GH3X (Graded Hammer 3X) keyboard action with synthetic ebony & ivory keytops features three sensors and an escapement mechanism, creating a response and feel that is very much like that of a grand piano.
- 1/4" microphone input allows you to connect a microphone so you can sing along while you play, hear your voice through the instrument's speakers, and even record your performance to USB audio.
- VH2 (Vocal Harmony 2) with synth vocoder enhances your vocal performance by adding up to three virtual background singers, along with pitch correction, vocoder and other effects.
- Melody Suppressor isolates the melody of audio songs connected to the Aux Line Input jack and reduces the volume, allowing you to sing along or play the lead.
- Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) allows for vivid and richly-varied expression to reflect the limitless number of factors that create the sound of a concert grand piano.
- Binaural Sampling technology delivers a three-dimensional sound, which recreates the perspective of the player position through headphones.
